This session introduces L&D professionals to the fundamentals of generative AI: what it is, how it works, how to use it effectively, and how to navigate common risks. Participants will explore a range of tools, learn how to write effective prompts, and gain practical tips for experimenting with AI in everyday tasks such as content creation, brainstorming, and decision support. No tech background required; just curiosity and a learning mindset!

Eddie Brasher is a visionary Learning and Development leader with over 15 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-wide strategies that elevate performance, accelerate leadership pipelines, and create inclusive, values-driven cultures. Currently serving as Learning and Development Manager at Starbucks, he partners with senior leaders to drive transformation in corporate finance through upskilling, performance consulting, and innovative learning technologies.

An MS graduate in Instructional Design & Technology and President of the ATD Memphis Chapter, Eddie is known for his presence, positivity, and ability to turn complexity into clarity, making him a trusted advisor and catalyst for organizational evolution.
