Introduction to the
6 Types of Working Genius

Work is a term we all identify with. But did you know there are six types of work required – whether you are working on launching a product, organizing a business or team, or planning a personal vacation.

Patrick Lencioni and his team developed The Working Genius model. It explains the six types of work and the order in which they are done. Each of us has two areas that are considered our Working Geniuses and two areas that are considered our Working Frustrations. There are also two areas in the middle that we neither find completely miserable nor completely joyful; these are our Working Competencies.

We get joy and energy from two of these 6 types.  These two are the areas we love doing the most and we typically are good at them. These areas are called our geniuses. If we work outside of our geniuses, we can become exhausted and drained. These working frustrations become a source of guilt and judgment and cause us to look and/or feel incompetent.  But are we incompetent? Or could this be an area outside of our genius? Do you know what your areas of genius are? What difference would it make if you knew them?

Our presenter, Jana Cardona, will help you unpack your report and the meaning of each genius. Then we will cover how we can use this information to gain more joy and less frustration in whatever we do and whoever we work with.

*Attendees are encouraged to take the Working Genius assessment prior to the session. The assessment is $25. Instructions to purchase the assessment will be included in your event registration confirmation email.
